Walnut Crotch

This bifurcated plank is from an old Walnut tree in Delgany.

I’ve had it since soon after Hurricane Charlie blew it down in the 80’s.

The fork in the tree is left intact when milling and exposes the flamed crotch grain.

The legs are cleft from local green ash and the through tenons wedged with walnut.

Fished in a hard wax oil.
