If you even dabble in woodwork, furniture or carpentry there will come a time you will be given a dilapidated cheap kitchen chair that is falling apart.

Often presented as a gift for you to repair by a relative or friend.

It is a particularly unfulfilling task.

In protest I broke it further.

I fitted some rungs to an oak off cut to return this stool to them instead.
