Cube stool

Redwood, castors

I milled a series of cubes from a giant redwood, felled in Greystones.

Redwood (sequoia) grows well in Ireland and is a relatively light and strong softwood.

Seldom do we see large solid blocks of wood in modern furniture. More often it is veneer or other trickery to give the illusion.

I have made a series of these stool with different ways of holding the blocks.

This one has wheels but must not be used as a skateboard.
